a good friend would give a record back after they gave it a listen and support the artists by buying the original work if they enjoyed it...
at least that's how things used to work before technology destroyed the quality of human interaction and weakened record sales...
so support your favorite artists and buy up all the pretty vinyls they put so much effort into.
