kaki king - ...until we felt red (2k6)

buy / myspace / bandsite

kind-of-review:
it was a beautiful fall day for a walk in the woods... i felt great... i could have almost started skipping... out of nowhere things got heavy... the wind... the darkness in the sky... and the storm brewing inside of me was ready to explode... almost felt like breaking things but at the limit of my emotions i became worn out and weak until it would start brewing all over again... finally things calmed and she told me that i didn't have to be afraid anymore... she broke me down into pieces and comforted me with song to make me whole again... the sky was clear again and i felt cleaner inside... the groove kicked in and i was ready to roll... stopped on a log for a smoke and watched the creatures interacting with their surroundings for a while... the water on the river was almost hypnotic... then somehow i ended up at a mogwai show where they forgot the batteries for their pedals... which almost made it heavier due to the clarity backed by the anticipation and imagination of what wasn't there... came back to the soft comforting sound of her voice... must've nodded off... back to the trail... back into the groove... looks like a good walk back home... felt good to get out today.
