even though i'm a bigger fan of their earlier acoustic duo work, which has a neutral milk feel to it with a little more honesty and actually has lyrics and storylines that make sense, this full band ep picks up the pace and ups the levels with a mix of ska and punk influences that are equally just as enjoyable... after kicking my ass four tracks in a row, the last number "passing through" starts off slow and comforting to give you a little break before things kick back in again to leave upbeat and wanting more... it's been awhile since this was recorded so hopefully there's more to come.
